Who we are, why we started, and what we stand for
We started CareThrone because we believe better working conditions for carers create better outcomes for the people they support. After years working in the care sector, we saw first-hand how good carers, motivated, trained, and valued, made a life-changing difference to individuals and families.
We also saw what happened when those conditions weren't in place. High turnover, inconsistent support, and people falling through the gaps. We knew there was a better way, and CareThrone is our answer to that challenge.
We set out to build a care organisation grounded in three things: genuine compassion, professional excellence, and unwavering respect for the people we work with, whether that's a client, a family member, or a member of our team.
Our mission is simple: to provide care that makes a real, positive difference, care that people would choose for their own loved ones. Everything we do is guided by our core philosophy.
We treat every person as a whole human being, not a task list or a care package. Dignity, privacy, and respect are non-negotiable in everything we do.
We start by listening. Your goals, your preferences, and your life experience shape how we support you, not the other way around. Care that fits your life, not ours.
We invest in our carers. Regular training, strong supervision, and a culture of accountability ensure that the quality of care you receive never slips.
Our team has hands-on experience supporting people with learning disabilities, dementia, autism, challenging behaviour, and mental health needs. We don't just understand these conditions, we know how to support the people living with them.
We are honest about what we can offer and we won't make promises we can't keep. If something isn't working, we'll tell you, and work with you to put it right.
We work in partnership with local authorities and NHS commissioning teams to ensure that the people who need support receive it promptly and at the right level.
We believe that happy, supported carers provide better care. That's why we invest in our staff, not just with training, but with respect, fair conditions, and a genuine sense of team.
